LakeCoal has assumed operational control of Mannering Colliery from Centennial as of the 17th October 2013.
The change in operational control is underpinned by a mining cooperation agreement between LDO Coal Pty Ltd (LDO) and Centennial Coal (Centennial) to help secure the future of their respective Chain Valley and Mannering Mines.
LakeCoal is wholly owned by LDO Coal Pty Ltd, and currently operates the adjacent Chain Valley Colliery which shares a common boundary with Mannering Colliery.
Mannering Colliery has been on care and maintenance since late 2012.
The cooperation agreement allows the sublease and operation of Mannering Colliery, including the surface facilities, until 2022.
